Saving Posted Materials

Saving a posted document to your computer will allow you to keep a record of the file, easily modify it, print it, view it at a greater magnification, or view it offline. To save a document posted within an online course, please do the following:

  1. Log into your course site.

  2. Locate the document you want to save.

  3. Right-click on the link to the file, and select Save Target As.

    * Mac Users:  Click on the link to the file you want to save.  The file will automatically download to your desktop.


  1. In the Save As dialog box, locate where you want save your file, and click Save.

  2. Once the download is complete, you may choose to Open the file or click Close and locate the file on your own at a later time.
