Removing an online assessment that has been made available to students may cause problems within your online class gradebook and, therefore, is not recommended. Instead, it is better to simply make the assessment unavailable to students.
However, if you choose to remove an online assessment, follow these steps:
- Click the Control Panel.
- Locate the assessment, and click the Remove button to the right of that item.
- You will receive a prompt stating, “This action is final and cannot be undone. Remove this item?” Click OK.
- You will receive another warning, informing you of the potential problems that could occur by removing the assessment. It also gives you an option to preserve the scores in the gradebook while removing the assessment attempts (erasing student answers) or removing all information associated with the assessment. Please remember that this action cannot be undone, so carefully consider the consequences.
If you are absolutely sure of your decision to remove the assessment rather than make it unavailable, make your selection regarding the scores.
- Click Submit. Your assessment has been removed.
