Importing Archived Course Material

Once you have finished using a course site for a given term, it is recommended that you archive the site so that you have a record of it.  An archived course site may also be imported into a new course site.

  1. Log into your new course site.

  2. Click the Control Panel.

  3. Under Course Options, click Import Package.

  4. Under Select a Package, click the Browse button.

  5. Locate the archived zip file on your computer, and click Open.

  6. Under Select Course Materials, check the boxes next to the items you would like to import.

  7. Click the Submit button.

  8. You will see a message notifying you that your request has been queued and that you will receive an email once the import process has completed.

    NOTE:  If you do not receive an email within 5 minutes of submitting your request to import a package, go ahead and proceed to step 9.  Email notifications don't always go through like they should, and typically the course finishes importing a package within that period of time.

  9. Once the import process has completed, log into your new course site to ensure that all content imported correctly.
