Incorporating Sound and Video
You can use multimedia elements such as sound and video in your
presentations. This is a great way to grab a student's attention
and emphasize your point. Be sure to use such resources wisely,
though, because sound and video files can get large quickly! Learn

Inserting a Sound into PowerPoint
- Open PowerPoint and the file you wish to edit
- Locate the slide you want to add sound to
- Select Insert > Movies and Sounds
- To select a sound from your sound gallery, select Sound
from Clip Organizer
- To select a sound that you have found or created and saved,
select Sound from File
- Select the sound to insert
- [Clip Organizer] browse through the different collections
and select the sound to insert, then select the slide and
click the insert into file (topmost) icon
- [File] locate the sound file and select OK
- If you want to hear the sound as soon as the slide appears,
click Yes in the dialog box that appears.
Inserting Video PowerPoint
- Open PowerPoint and the file you wish to edit
- Locate the slide you want to add a video to
- Select Insert > Movies and Sounds
- To select a movie from your gallery, select Movie from
Clip Organizer
- To select a movie that you have found and saved, select
Movie from File
- Select the movie to insert
- [Clip Organizer] browse through the different collections
and select the movie to insert, then select the movie and
click the insert into file (topmost) icon
- [File] locate the movie file and select OK
- [OPTIONAL] If you want to hear the movie as soon as the
slide appears, click Yes in the dialog box that appears.
