Accessing and completing SPU's online sexual harassment training program

To access the Preventing Sexual Harassment training program, click on the link http://training.newmedialearning.com/psh/spu/index.htm and complete the following steps:

    1. Select the training version that matches your employment category (Faculty, Staff Supervisory or Staff Non-Supervisory). In order to advance the screen, click on the blue "continue" arrow located at the bottom of each screen or the blue right arrow at the top.
    2. If you quit the program before you are finished, you can resume where you left off by using the arrows to advance the program one screen at a time or by selecting a section using the pull down menu at the top of the screen. In order to resume the program using the pull down menu you will need to know the section or the title of the page you last completed.
    3. At the end of the training program you will be asked to complete a short "Mastery Test." Upon selecting an answer, immediate feedback will be provided to the left of your selection and also at the top of the page. A green dot signifies a correct answer and a red dot means your selection is incorrect.
    4. Scores of 80% or better will allow printing of the "Certificate of Completion." If your score is less than 80%, you may review the program again or follow the instructions to retake ("return to") the test.
    5. Please enter your name at the bottom of the mastery test and follow the instructions for printing certificates. Mail your completed certificate via campus mail to: Mardeth Hughes, Human Resources Office, Suite 302. Certificates will be used to verify program completion. Employees must complete the program within their first 30 days of employment.

In most cases, the training program should be completed during normal work hours. The training program could be completed within 60 minutes but it may take longer if additional information sections are reviewed.

Employees who do not have access to a computer should make arrangements to review this program in their department or in Human Resources, if a computer is unavailable.

If time permits, please tell us what you think about the program by completing the program evaluation form. The evaluation form may be accessed using the pull down menu and selecting "Evaluation Form."

Thank you for your participation. If you have any questions or comments regarding this program, please do not hesitate to contact us at ext 2809 or send an email to mccric@spu.edu.
