The recent Health Advisory from Public Health Seattle-King County highlighted a couple of cases of Measles in the
area. SPU has a mandatory immunization policy for incoming undergraduates and incoming International undergraduate
and graduates students. MMR is the vaccine used for prevention of Measles and is part of that policy. At this time less
than 1% of students do not have documented immunity to Measles. These students have a waiver for the immunization
and may be at risk for Measles. Students with a waiver may contact the Health Center to discuss options.
If you suspect you were exposed to Measles or develop symptoms of Measles please contact your own health care
provider or the Campus Health Center (206 281 2231).
