R.N. to B.S. Program

A Program for the Working Registered Nurse

Student listens in class

If you’re currently working as a registered nurse and would like to earn your bachelor’s degree, then SPU’s program is for you.

  • Designed for you. It’s an upper-division nursing major for working R.N.s
  • Part time. The program of study is part-time and takes eight quarters to complete; typically classes are held in the evening
  • We come to you. Classes are taught at sites in Bellevue, Port Orchard, Seattle, Tacoma, and Renton
  • Online components. Selected components or portions of courses are available online
  • Flexible learning. Independent-study opportunities enable you to meet personal interests while fulfilling degree requirements
  • Cost effective. We’re competitive with other local programs, offer reduced off-campus program tuition rates, and help with financial aid
  • Supportive. Academic and program advisors help with your planning
  • Great partners. SHS partners with Group Health Cooperative, VA Puget Sound Health Care System, and Valley Medical Center
  • Open involvement. Participants do not have to be employed by any of the partner institutions

In other words, any R.N. with an associate degree or a diploma in nursing who meets the admission criteria is welcome to participate in our program. It’s a convenient and effective way to earn your bachelor of science degree.

Accreditation
