Certificate and Certification Programs

Continuing Education

At some point, you may wish to further your studies (and your professional career) with a certificate or by pursuing certification. The School of Health Sciences offers two programs.

With the Nurse Educator Certificate, curriculum principles and teaching skills needed to become an effective clinical or academic educator are taught over four courses (3 credits each). Participants receive graduate level credits that are eligible for transfer into future graduate study. The certificate is intended for individuals involved in nursing education or nursing staff development with a baccalaureate or masters’ degree, who want to expand their knowledge and practice expertise.

A Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certification is designed to expand existing practice roles to include the direct care delivery for adult and family populations. Wellness, health promotion, and levels of prevention across the lifespan and in various settings within specialized populations are supported by expert faculty. Programs of study are individually crafted to suit learning objectives and prepare nurses to pass required certification exams for their practice.

Prepare for your future. Check out the link below for information about our certificate program or to learn about certification.
