SELECTION PROCESS
Once plays have been submitted, there will be a committee of two or three members to read through the scripts and choose the ones which are most appropriate and most suitable to be published by the University Theatre. The committee will be made up of two faculty members from the Theatre Department and another faculty member from another department on campus.
After the first screening has been completed, all Theatre faculty members must read through the selected scripts. There must be unanimous consent within the Theatre faculty before any play is published by the University Theatre.
If your piece is accepted we may ask for additional revisions to be completed. While Seattle Pacific University will obtain the right to have an electronic copy of your script available for others to peruse, you will maintain all rights to your work. Your contact information will be included with all electronic versions of the script so those perusing your script may contact you for performance rights. It is your responsibility to keep us informed of changes in your contact information.
