STUDIO THEATRE ONE:
STUDENT DIRECTED ONE ACT PLAYS
MARCH 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 -- 2009
THE LAST TIME I SAW TIMMY BOGGS by Catherine Butterfield
Directed by Laura Goodwin
Marianne is on the phone to a suicide hotline when her sister bursts in with the news that childhood
friend Timmy Boggs, whom they haven't heard from in twenty years, is coming to visit. The surprising effect that Timmy has on the other characters brings the play full circle.
THE BARBARIANS ARE COMING by Luigi Jannuzzi
Directed by Elizabeth Kent
Two feudal lords are debating the merits of various types of tea when they are interrupted by a serf hysterically babbling about a siege on their castle. The play explores the question of whether raw muscle will rule over culture and etiquette. Who are the barbarians among us?
