Description of Duties

Responsible to the Technical Director and Set Designer in the sourcing, purchasing and constructing properties. Assists the director and designer in final choice of props; supervises properties crew; sets up offstage properties storage and checks props before each performance; assists in running the production. Assists in care and maintenance of properties and supplies, including the properties storage facility.

Skills / Qualifications

Knowledge of properties construction methods. Familiarity with theatrical procedures. Familiarity with Seattle businesses and suppliers is helpful. This position may require driving a University or other vehicle. Additional pay may be available with the completion of the SPU driving course.

Experience Required

One year of Production Practicum or equivalent.

Level of Supervision

Works under supervision of Technical Director and/or Production Manager.
