SEATTLE PACIFIC UNIVERSITY THEATRE PRESENTS
STUDIO THEATRE ONE:
STUDENT DIRECTED ONE ACT PLAYS
February 28, 29, March 1, 2, 3 -- 2012
> THE GOOD DOCTOR
by Neil Simon Act One Directed by Benjamin Smyth
Act Two Directed by Lisa Hermanson
In Los Angeles in November 1977, Neil Simon wrote the following about The Good Doctor: "It is not a play at all. There are sketches, vaudeville scenes if you will, written with my non-consenting collaborator, Anton Chekhov. Not the Anton Chekhov of The Seagull and The Three Sisters, but the young man who wrote humorous articles for the newspapers to pay his way through medical school. It was a pastiche for me, an enjoyable interlude before getting on to bigger things..."
Performed in the Studio Theatre, Lower McKinley Hall
