STUDENT DIRECTED ONE ACT PLAYS MARCH 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - 2007 THE PROPOSAL by Anton Chekhov Directed by Molly Smith A nervous young farmer comes to propose to his neighbor’s daughter. Instead of making the proposal, the young couple gets involved in comic arguments and separate. The father has to step in to bring them back together. MEDIOCRITY by Anton Robert Krueger Directed by David Roby This absurdist comedy borrows from several comedic styles to send up doctors, wives, brutality and death. Kenaf has just learned that he’s about to die and his life changes dramatically when he finally stands up to his wife, a bullying Brute, and a condescending Doctor. SOUND CUES by Michael Vukadinovich Directed by Dustin Morache When a community theatre soundboard operator breaks the stereo during a show, and the leading actress storms off, he and two other sound techs are forced to save the show by creating the sound effects themselves.
