This classic dramatizes the volatile relationship between the lonely teacher, Annie Sullivan, and her student, blind and mute Helen Keller. Only Annie realizes that Helenís mind and spirit yearn to reach out from the dark silence in which she is living. In scenes of physical and emotional intensity, the single, glorious word: "water" finally brings the two together.
