Required and
Recommended Implements
Bachelor of Arts and Music Minor
The percussion
field is vast, thus requiring a need for an extensive amount of
mallets and instruments. It must be understood that the list of
implements will only provide you with the minimum amount of
materials needed for study in the percussion studio.
As you develop as a player and as you start
performing more solo literature it will be necessary for you to
purchase additional mallets, sticks, instruments, methods books
and sheet music. I highly recommend you talk to me about the
equipment you are going to purchase before you purchase it. If
you already have some sticks and mallets let me know what they
are so that we can modify the list to best suit your needs.
Throughout your studies at SPU you will be required to purchase
all music that you are playing for your lessons and juries.
All implements can be purchased from:
