INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC AT SPU

Professor Gerry Jon Marsh conducts the Symphonic Wind Ensemble

The SPU Music Department is proud of its outstanding and dedicated instrumental faculty who conduct ensembles and teach private lessons. Lessons are available for all orchestral (wind, string, and percussion) instruments and guitar. Ensembles are an important component of an instrumentalist's musical experience. The Department of Music at Seattle Pacific University offers many opportunities for performance and study. Membership in ensembles is by audition; entrance to an ensemble is an assumed one-year commitment. Music majors, music minors, and non-majors are encouraged to participate. Extra tuition is not charged for the 18th, 19th, or 20th credit hour of a student's academic load if these credits are for music ensembles.
