Ensembles are an important component of an instrumentalist's musical experience. The Department of Music at Seattle Pacific University offers many opportunities for ensemble performance and study. Membership in ensembles is by audition. Music majors, music minors, and non-majors are encouraged to participate. Auditions are held at the beginning of fall quarter (see the notices posted in the lobby of Crawford Music Building prior to the beginning of the term). During winter and spring, auditions are by appointment with the ensemble director. Ensembles should be considered a year-long (three quarter) commitment. The left column is a partial list of instrumental ensembles offered at Seattle Pacific University. Chamber ensembles are also available, including Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Choir and Brass Choir.
