Notes

Wayne Balch continued to direct the Oratorio Society and Orchestra in 1968-1969. Philip Mack directed the SPC Choir and Carl Reed directed the Collegium Musicum.

The SPC Choir (as it was called in 1968-1969) was active with their local concerts and annual tour.
1968-1969 Repertoire

The Collegium Musicum presented a variety of literature during the year and were featured on an ensemble concert on December 9, 1968 in Demary Hall.

At the Annual Fall Convocation on September 27, the "College Vocal Ensemble," which was essentially the SPC Ensemble at the begining of the school year, performed "Come Holy Spirit, Heavenly Dove" composed by Carl Reed.

The Oratorio Society presented the "Messiah" at the Seattle Opera House on December 4, 1968. Carl Reed assisted the orchestra on harpsichord. Soloists were Florence Mesler, soprano; Margaret Myles, alto; Robert McGrath, tenor; and Russell Marshall, bass. On June 1, 1969, they presented Haydn's "The Creation" at the College Church. Soloists were Edna Hage, soprano; Eleanor Uhden, soprano; Donald Corson, tenor; Frederick Libby, tenor; Joseph James, baritone; and Joel Ulrich, baritone.
