Notes

The 1966-1967 school year brought a new director for the Oratorio Society, Wayne Harwood Balch. Philip Mack continued to direct the A Cappella Choir.

The A Cappella Choir enjoyed an active year with their annual tour, local concerts and a performance with the Concert Band at "A Festival of Praise." The group performed concerts throughout the Northwest including a performance at Jefferson Junior High School in Olympia and the Chico Alliance Church in Bremerton. Theri tours took them to Canada, Washington and Oregon.
1966-1967 Repertoire

The Oratorio Society presented their two performances on December 4, 1966 and June 9, 1967. In December, they presented Handel's "Messiah" at the College Church. Marcille Mack accompanied on piano and Winston Johnson on organ. Soloists were Wadad Saba, soprano; LaVonne Dickson, alto; Ira Jones, tenor; and Philip Mack, bass. The June concert featured Mendelssohn's "St. Paul". Professors Mack and Johnson accompanied this performance, too, with soloists Wadad Saba, soprano; Pamela Wetzel, alto; Ira Jones, tenor; and Philip Mack, bass.
