In 1963-1964, Lawrence Schoenhals was appointed Vice-President of the Administration. He continued to conduct the Oratorio Society. Philip Mack directed the A Cappella Choir and Carl Reed directed the Madrigal Singers.

The A Cappella Choir appeared in and around the Seattle area throughout the year including Highland Covenant Church, Bellevue; First Free Methodist Church, Seattle; and Laurelhurst Presbyterian Church, Seattle. They also sang at Baccalaureate and Vespers. The choir toured through Eastern Washington and British Columbia.

The Madrigal Singers presented a performance in the fall with the orchestra. The concert featured "Dido and Aeneas."

The Oratorio Society presented the "Messiah" to a full crowd at the Seattle Opera House in December. Soloists were Wadad Saba, LaVerne Traina and Philip Mack. Accompanying the group were Marcile Mack, piano, and Winston Johnson, organ. In the spring, they were conducted by Carl Reed in a performance of Mendelssohn's "Elijah."
