Notes

In the 1949-1950 school year, Lawrence Schoenhals continued as Director of the School of Music. He conducted the A Cappella Choir and the Oratorio Society. Dean Arlton, faculty in piano and music theory, directed the Men's Glee Club and Winifred Leighton, faculty in violin, voice and music theory, directed the Girls' Glee Club.

The A Cappella Choir enjoyed a year of performance highlighted by their tours locally to Everett and a regional tour to Boise.

The Girls' Glee Club sang at Vespers, chapel, the Seattle AAUW and various local churches. The Men's Glee Club sang at Open House, Vespers, the Minstrel Show and the Winter Concert.

The Oratorio Society sang two major concerts. In the Autumn Term, they performed "St. Paul" by Mendelssohn. Soloists were:

In the Spring Term, they performed "The Holy City" by Gaul and selections from "Hora Novissima" by Horatio Parker.
