Notes

The 1923-1924 school year brought a reorganization of the music department with the creation of the Allied Arts Department, which included Music, Elocution and Art. The College Chorus also was reorganized into two separate glee clubs- one for women and one for men. Mrs. Kendrick directed both groups. The two combined to create the college mixed chorus.

The College Girl's Glee Club rehearsed on Friday morning. The Cascade noted that the group was in its third year of existence. Their literature included "The Sweetest Story Ever Told" and "Since You Went Away."

The College Men's Glee Club rehearsed at 8:00 AM on Thursday morning.

The Combined Glee Clubs (as a mixed chorus) performed regularly during the school year. The Cascade notes performances at three "exclusive Glee Club entertainments" at Meridian High School in Kent, Panther Lake School in Auburn and the Annual Glee Club Recital held on May 2. The group also furnished music at the First Baptist Church for the Council of Religious Education of the State of Washington, the State W.C.T.U. Jubilee, the Christmas program in the Assembly, the PTA Rally, the Sacred Concert on Palm Sunday, the Third Annual May Festival and Commencement.
