On a lighter note: I am passionate about the mission of FCS.  That is, to empower people to improve their quality of life through food, clothing, shelter, and relationships. I am married to Dean Kato and have a son, Alex, and a daughter, Stefanie. Together we love to travel, to learn about cultures different than our own (especially through food!) But mostly, I love to hear people’s personal stories about their families and communities.
