| In support and furtherance of Seattle Pacific University's COMMITMENTS AND EDUCATIONAL GOALS, and the Business and Planning Mission Statement, the Facility Management administrative unit exists to provide facility management and maintenance services. | ||||
| In order to meet the demands of this mission, we the members of Facility Management commit ourselves to the following values and objectives: | ||||
| * We commit ourselves to serve the Seattle Pacific University community with cost effective and timely services in the resource management of building maintenance, housekeeping and landscape areas of responsibility. In carrying out these tasks, we strive to exhibit an attitude and style of helpfulness, serving with gladness and valuing our customers and their needs. | ||||
| * We recognize that our primary stewardship responsibility is to manage and maintain the University's physical plant. Therefore, we join together in a common bond to planning, fiscal management and mutual accountability. | ||||
| * We strive to create and maintain a facility that enhances the educational mission of teaching and learning. We commit our efforts to developing a campus environment that is well maintained, welcoming and whose buildings and grounds reflect the high standards of excellence. | ||||
| * We provide opportunities for work experience to students in the maintenance, housekeeping, landscape, work control center and office areas. | ||||
