At the end of their first year of teaching, faculty participate in a three-day retreat held at SPU’s Camp Casey, allowing them to debrief and examine the challenges of their first- year experience.

  • When: June 22-25, 2006

  • Where: Fort Casey Inn, Whidbey Island

  • What: A three-day retreat for new faculty members at SPU. If you are a new faculty member this year and would like to participate, or if you were unable to participate last year, please contact Susan Gallagher, gallaghe@spu.edu, by May 20, 2006.

Senior Faculty Seminar
A seminar for tenured faculty. The seminar is held each spring quarter on Thursdays from 10:30 - 1:00 in the Library Conference Room. With the assistance of a one-course teaching reduction, participants read, reflect, discuss, and write on issues relating to their vocations as Christian teacher-scholars.


To enroll, send a letter indicating your interest, a copy of your current vita, and a letter of support from your department chair to:
