News and Announcements
The
Center for Scholarship and Faculty Development is pleased to announce
the 2007 awards for "Faculty Grants for the Theological Exploration of
Vocation."
Bev Wilson (Graduate Psychology). “Mothers and Grandmothers as Agents of Children’s Religious Socialization: An Investigation of a ‘Divine Call,’ Mechanisms of Transmissions and Child Outcomes.” This will fund a four-scholar study project that will investigate the degree to which mothers and grandmothers feel called to be socializing agents in the religious development of their children and grandchildren, the mechanisms by which they carry this out, and the outcomes in their children.
Baine Craft (Psychology). "Psychology as Vocation." This grant will fund development of a new required course in undergraduate psychology that would provide students with a guided experience in exploring different careers in psychology. It would also focus on what it means to be called as a person of Christian faith to serve in the field of psychology.
Congratulations
on your awards!
