Seattle Beauty Tours

October 11th, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

If you are registered for the 2008 National Lilly Fellows Network Conference and wish to reserve a seat for a particular tour, please email Anna Miller with your desired choice.  Tour groups will be arranged on a first come first serve basis.  If seats remain, sign up for Seattle Beauty Tours will also be available on October 10th at the conference registration table.

Option One: City Highlights

This tour will visit four of Seattle's most well-known tourist stops; Kerry Park, Pike Place Market, Central Seattle Public Library, and Pioneer Square.

Led by: Daniela Geleva, Assistant Professor of Nutrition, SPU

Option Two: Olympic Sculpture Park

This tour will visit Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park.

Led by: Gala Bent, Assistant Professor of Art, SPU

Option Three: Japanese Garden

This tour will visit the Seattle Japanese Garden in the Washington Park Arboretum.

Led by: Seattle Parks Tour Guide

Please Note:  Those who sign up for this tour will be charged $5 at the park entrance.

Option Four: Sustainibility and Design in the Northwest

This tour will visit the studio of a leading "green" architect in the Seattle area. Tours of specific buildings may also be included, depening on time.

Led by: Laura Lasworth, Professor of Art, SPU

Option Five: Invisible and Unwelcomed People

This tour will visit the current exhibition by Artist Zhi Lin in our campus gallery.
