Faculty Grants in Vocation and Theology funded by Lilly SERVE:
Faculty members can apply for grants that allow them to do research and develop curriculum for their disciplines that center on theological exploration of vocation. Up to $18,000 in faculty grants will be awarded each year to provide support for SPU faculty to research, write, and develop curriculum related to the theological exploration of vocation. Applications are due by February 1, 2008. Contact Mike Hamilton for more information.
Vocational Speakers Series Grants funded by Lilly SERVE:
The SERVE Vocational Speakers Fund supports bringing guest speakers who reflect on the issue of vocation, understood from a Christian perspective either in classes or at extra-curricular events. To apply for support, submit a brief proposal with the speaker’s resume, an explanation of the topic of his or her talk and how it meets the goals of the SERVE program, estimates the number of people who will attend, and proposes a budget. This needs to be done at least one month before the speaker appears. Typical grants range from $100 to $500. Proposals should be sent to Susan VanZanten .
