The Center for Scholarship and Faculty Development hosts three annual lectures open to the public including The Day of Common Learning, C. May Marston Lecture, and Winifred E. Weter Faculty Award Lecture. The Center also hosts a variety of student and faculty dinners, workshops, and conferences.  Below, we list current and recent events.

Teaching and Learning Essentials II continues building on the foundational strategies in TLE I by focusing on creating significant learning experiences in the classroom to enhance student learning  and attainment of course objectives. The workshop will start with a review of student learning principles and map them to pedagogical techniques and classroom management skills to enhance student outcomes. Faculty & Staff September Mini-Courses

The CSFD, in collaboration with the CBTE, is again offering a variety of faculty & staff mini-courses this summer. Full-time, adjunct, and part-time faculty are eligible to enroll for all sessions; staff are only eligible to enroll (with supervisor’s permission) in UFDN 2000, Wesleyan Theology, and Fall Lectio Review. Each mini-course will be held from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. with morning refreshments and lunch provided. Faculty who are present for the entirety of a mini-course will also receive a $100 honorarium. Contact Anna Miller to reserve your spot now as each workshop is limited to 20 participants. Registration closes on August 16.
