A unique scholarship for graduate students whose research transcends the disciplines.
The Claremont National Scholarships celebrate CGU's culture of flexible, tailor-made doctoral programs and what we call "transdisciplinary" research. In the context of rigorous Ph.D. study within particular disciplines, CGU also emphasizes work that draws on ideas from other disciplines and makes contributions to practical problems.
Awards:
The award covers full tuition plus a $20,000 annual stipend. Students pursuing a Ph.D. in any of eight graduate schools at Claremont Graduate University:
- Arts and Humanities
- Behavioral and Organizational Sciences
- Educational Studies
- Information Systems and Technology
- Management
- Mathematical Sciences
- Politics and Economics
- Religion
Scholars must be interested in transdisciplinary work that crosses the disciplines and the boundaries separating theory and practice.
