Planting a seed of aspiration for higher education, Going to College in the Fifth Grade brought fifth graders from Dearborn Park and Zion Prep Academy to campus each year for a full day of interaction with faculty, staff, and students. Coordinated by the School of Education, cross-campus contributions came from Admissions, Gwinn Dining Hall, Library, the Music department, Physics department, and Physical Education department.
