Carnegie
Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellows Program
For over twenty-five
years, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace has identified
and nurtured promising young talent in the field of international
affairs through its Junior Fellows Program. Junior fellows are
matched with senior associates by field of interest and expertise
in order to engage in substantive work and take on levels of responsibility
not usually associated with people fresh out of college.
Each year, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace holds a rigorous national competition to select approximately 8-10 graduating seniors to serve as research assistants. They are matched with senior associates - academics, former government officials, lawyers and journalists from around the world - to work on a variety of international affairs issues.
Junior Fellows have the opportunity to conduct research for books, participate in meetings with high-level officials, contribute to congressional testimony and organize briefings attended by scholars, activists, journalists and government officials
Junior Fellows spend one year (beginning August 1st) at the Carnegie Endowment in Washington, DC. Positions are full-time and inlcude a salary and benefits package. Junior Fellows are currently paid a gross salary of $2,916.66 per month.
