General
Policies
- Reservations
will not be accepted for Sundays and for only limited use on
Mondays.
- All food
service must be contracted through Conference Services.
- Book
sales by an outside vendor or individual are not permitted
on campus unless prior approval has been received from the Executive
Director of University Services in consultation with the Bookstore
Manager.
- Parking:
due to parking constraints, no event will be accommodated that
requires visitor parking for more than 40 cars on Monday, Wednesday
or Friday from 8 am to 5 PM. Events requiring parking for up
to 200 vehicles may be accommodated on Tuesday or Thursday.
Vehicles must be parked in designated lots and require campus-parking
permits, available through the Conference Services office. Limited
ADA approved handicapped parking is located in the Demaray lot,
but is usually occupied during regular business hours. To access
Gwinn Commons from the Dravus lot requires one to enter the
rear door of the library, pass through it to Martin Square,
and then up the Gwinn Commons elevator to the third floor.
- Alcohol
is not allowed on campus.
Maintenance
and Safety Policies
- Tables
and chairs may not be moved from any other location on campus,
including Gwinn's second floor.
- Soft seating
furniture must remain in the lobby.
- No object
or sign may be attached to the walls with tape, nails, or screws.
- Plant Services
will hang any approved banners or signs.
- Bubble/smoke
machines, glitter, chalk or other such items that may cause
damage to the interior/exterior of the building are not permitted.
- Smoking
is not permitted inside Gwinn Commons or on the outdoor balcony.
Campus visitors are permitted to smoke in Martin Square [as
per the Conference Services Contract].
