Career Development Center

Greetings Parents!

"Welcome to the Career Development Center web site especially for parents. SPU’s commitment is to educate your student in the SPU tradition of both competence and character. One of the goals of an SPU education is to assist your student in discovering who they are in terms of skills and abilities, preferences, and their sense of vocation or calling. As a parent, there are many ways you can assist your student in the process of self-discovery and exploration of how their giftedness can best be used in the world. Explore these pages for tips on how best to assist your student in this challenging yet rewarding process of career and life exploration.

Also, if you would like to assist an SPU student with finding an internship or possibly a job at your place of work, please be sure to visit the Become a Mentorsection of our website, or contact me directly at jacquisb@spu.edu to discuss how we might work together. Your interest and your help are deeply appreciated."

Be sure to check out our annual SpringBoard events to help students explore major chioice, learn about their unique vocational calling, and develop practical skills for their future career search.
