Internship Information

Internships are paid or unpaid experiences that allow students the opportunity to integrate and apply their academic course work into a professional work situation and to gain valuable experience and skills.  Internships are great opportunities for employers to recruit and retain potential employees, to work on special projects or events, or to provide support during times of higher demand.

Students will be taking academic credit for their internships, hence it is the employer’s responsibility to design internship responsibilities or projects that are substantive and challenging and to provide training and supervision for interns.

Internships are generally 10-20 hours per week during the academic year and part to full-time during the summer. To learn more about setting up an internship at SPU explore the links to the left.
