Career Testing

The Career Development Center offers assessment tests and computer programs to help students and alumni clarify their interests, skills, and values.

Strong Interest Inventory
This assessment measures your level of interest in school subjects, occupational areas, work and leisure activities, and various learning and work environments. Before completing the assessment online, please make an appointment with a career counselor to discuss if this is the right assessment for you. Once you have met with a counselor you may complete the assessment online at any time. After you have completed the assessment and are ready to receive your results, make an appointment with a career counselor by visiting the Career Development Center (2nd Floor SUB). Specify that you want to discuss the results of the Strong Interest Inventory. A $20 fee is collected when the appointment is scheduled. Click on the link above and follow the instructions below to take the assessment online.

  • Login: spustudent
  • Password: falcons
  • UserID: You will receive this upon completion of the assessment. You will only enter a User ID if you are returning to resume the assessment or to take a different assessment.
  • Click the “Take It” button next to the Strong Interest Inventory. Fill out the personal information form (First Name, Last Name, Email, and Gender are required), and finally click on “Submit.”
  • When you complete the test click “Done" once. NOTE: You MUST click “Done” to save your work. If you fail to do so all of your results will be lost.
  • Write down the User ID that will appear. This ID allows you to resume and/or take additional assessments using the same User ID in the future.
  • Finally, click “I’m Done” to email your test to the Career Development Center.
  • When you would like to see and discuss your results, contact the Career Development Center (2nd Floor SUB) to make an appointment with a Career Counselor. A $20 fee will be charged when you schedule your appointment.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
