The Quartermasters Building is located on the Crockett Lake side of Casey’s South Entrance. Built in the early 1900’s and originally used as a military storehouse, the facility was completely remodeled in 2001 and is now fully accessible to wheelchairs.
The Quartermasters Building is suitable for groups of 16-29 people, and it is ideal for groups who want to keep their varied activities under one roof. This building contains spaces for groups to meet, cook, eat and sleep within one facility.
There are five bedrooms in the south end of the building. These rooms vary in size; each room can accommodate 3-7 people depending on bed configurations. Linens are not provided, but linen packets can be ordered prior to arrival for $10. Each packet contains sheets, one blanket, pillow & pillowcase, and a towel set. Men’s and women’s bathrooms with showers are easily accessible from the bedroom area.
The kitchen is in the center of the facility. It is generous in size, allowing meals to be served in the room. The kitchen is equipped with standard household appliances, including a 4-burner electric stove & oven, a refrigerator, a chest freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a dishwasher. Cooking and baking utensils are stocked, and the cupboards hold table settings and cutlery for 29 people.
Meeting spaces are in the north end of the Quartermasters Building. An open lounge area is just outside the kitchen and can be configured for small group meetings. The building’s large meeting room is beyond this space. It is set with tables and chairs for 30, and comes equipped with a ceiling-mounted digital projector, a wall-mounted screen, DVD/VCR players, a laptop connector cable and podium. It is possible to seat up to 50 people theatre style in this space.
