Churches and faith-based organizations know that
Camp Casey Conference Center is the right place for
all ages of their congregation members to worship,
rest, and enjoy fellowship. Church groups can worship
on the beach, hear speakers in comfortable meeting
rooms, take nature walks in the nearby Fort Casey
State Park, play lively outdoor games on the former
parade ground,
and much more.
Church groups can
also choose from
two auditoriums,
with capacity
for 130 and 350
people. Those multipurpose
buildings are prime for chapel, seminars,
or workshops. Auditorium A is even equipped with a
large movie screen, public address system, and stage.
When not meeting together as a group, church
members have options on and off the Camp Casey
grounds. While on site, enjoy an Olympic-sized heated
swimming pool (seasonal use), use the gymnasium,
equipped with basketball and volleyball equipment, or
shoot hoops outdoors on the four full-size basketball
courts. Church members can also team up on three
outdoor volleyball courts, or enjoy the recreational
field for outdoor games of choice.
A scenic 5-minute
walk from the
Casey’s grounds
takes guests to Fort
Casey State Park.
There, both adults
and children can
climb to the top of
the Fort Casey lighthouse
or explore World War
I era cannons and fortresses.
The historic town
of Coupeville is only 3
miles north, where church
groups can visit stately
Victorian homes, shops, and Island County Museum.
And a short walk and ferry ride will take church members
to Port Townsend for an afternoon of sightseeing
and recreation.
As the sun sets, your church group can gather again,
this time around the campfire at Camp Casey, whether
to sing or worship and make just the right close to the
day. |
