About the Biology Department

Welcome to the Department of Biology at Seattle Pacific University! We are located in Eaton Hall, and offer a variety of degrees to help students achieve their long-term educational and career goals.

The Department of Biology has four primary goals:

  1. We seek to promote the scientific study of life.
  2. We work to improve communication and critical thinking in issues related to biology.
  3. We strive for excellence in scientific training for those who pursue careers in scientific fields.
  4. We are committed to the development of personal integrity and wholeness in our community of faculty and students.

  • The Pre-Health Club is holding their first meeting on Wed., Oct. 15, from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in Otto Miller Hall, Room 127.
  • The Pre-Health Club and SPU's School of Business, Government and Economics are co-sponsoring a talk by Allan Daly, author of “Paradise Under the Knife: A Wild Adventure in Tropical Medicine and International Intrigue”. The talk will be Tues., Oct. 21, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in Eaton 112. Everyone is invited!
