Article 5: Ratification, Amendment, & Bylaws
Ratification or amendment of this Constitution requires
a two-thirds (2/3) majority approval of the Senate after
one academic week of consideration to place the amendment
before the ASSP. In addition, a two-thirds (2/3) majority
approval of the voting members of the ASSP is required for
final passage. Bylaw passage necessitates a two-thirds (2/3)
majority vote of the Senate after one academic week of consideration.
The Senate shall, at the end of each academic year, accumulate
all changes in the Constitution and Bylaws of that year
into one document. The amended document must be presented
to and approved by the Senate prior to June 1 of that academic
year.
