Responsibilities: The role of the President is to be the voice of the general student body as well as the ASSP Senate to the University administration. This includes overseeing all the aspects of the ASSP through working with the vice presidents to better represent and serve the student body. In addition, I seek to recruit new leaders for all SPU leadership opportunities by engaging in student and community events. This year, the office of the President will be focusing on encouraging and increasing University unity as well as embracing the notion of creating change.

Executive Vice President

Responsibilities: As Executive Vice President I oversee the Student Senate and chair Senate meetings. I also ensure that student’s ideas and opinions are being represented and heard on campus. Senate as a body is responsible for delegating student funds and communicating with SPU’s administration on behalf of the students. Vice President of Campus Activities

Responsibilities: As VPCA, the “Party VP,” I have the blessed opportunity to oversee all ASSP campus activities, as well as provide active leadership to the Student Union Board (STUB) and ASSP Clubs. I want to be an advocate for student clubs and organizations. SPU’s campus is full of students with passion and abilities for great activities and I hope to provide the resources to bring these passions and skills to life through new events on campus.

Vice President of Campus Ministries

Responsibilities: As VPM, I have the privilege to represent, advocate, learn from, and support the eight ASSP Ministries and nine coordinators for the SPU campus.  This includes the two worship (Chapel and group), three discipleship (the SMC Program, Sharpen, and Relinquish) and three service ministries (Latreia, Urban Involvement, and SPRINT).  I represent ministries at Senate on Monday evenings, hold Campus Ministry Council every week, plan Winter Retreat in early winter quarter, and collaborate with the ministry coordinators for Resurrection Week in early spring quarter.

Vice President of Finance

Responsibilities: As the VP of Finance, my role is to oversee all financial operations of ASSP. This means everything from overseeing the budgets of more than 50 fabulous student organizations, ensuring accuracy and responsibility in ASSP transactions, and guiding Finance Board, the financial advisory board of Senate. I am here to serve by acting as a support and resource for any student interested or involved with ASSP Finances. Please let me know if ever you have a question!

Public Relations Manager

Responsibilities: As Public Relations Manager, I serve as the liaison between the ASSP, students, faculty, and the surrounding community. I am the ASSP administrator of student services which include bus passes, newspapers, and Queen Anne Pool passes. I’m also in charge of marketing and finding great new discounts and opportunities around the Seattle area for SPU students. Most of my time will be in the back scenes getting things issued and prepped for each week, but if you have questions or ideas you want to see implement on campus in terms of marketing or how to get out into the city, please drop by the office!

Intercultural Coordinator

Responsibilities: I am excited about the progress that SPU has made in their diversity efforts over the years. As Intercultural Director I have the wonderful opportunity to contribute to SPU’s legacy by providing even more opportunities for students to be a part of the growing conversation about diversity, reconciliation, race, and culture. I’m here to initiate, facilitate and coordinate diversity efforts within ASSP, and to serve as a student resource for diversity efforts in the SPU community at large. I am also the Chair of the Intercultural Initiatives Committee (Catalyst) which works on a grander scale to address issues of race, ethnicity and justice through forums and events.  Stop by and visit me anytime!
