Sept 15 -- Falcons Pull Off Volleyball Upset Over Crusaders in Five
Back to back service aces by Alyssa Given to close out the fifth game solidified the win for Seattle Pacific (2-1 GNAC, 7-4) as they took down Great Northwest Athletic Conference co-leaders Northwest Nazarene 3-2 at Brougham Pavilion.

Sept 13 -- Volleyball’s Gut-Check Time Comes Early (Weekly Volleyball Release)
Having split their first two Great Northwest Athletic Conference matches, and at home no less, the Seattle Pacific University volleyball team finds itself facing a very big date for early in the season. The Falcons (1-1, 6-4) host co-leader Northwest Nazarene (2-0, 8-2) to close-out their homestead Saturday night.

Sept 8 -- Yellowjackets Down Falcons in Four to Snap SPU Win Streaks
Alicia Cazemier had four of the last five kills for Montana State Billings in the fourth game, as the Yellow jackets took down the Falcons (1-1 GNAC, 6-4) at Brougham Pavilion Saturday night, 30-26, 30-22, 26-30, 30-21.

Sept 7 -- Falcons Edge Redhawks for 28th Straight GNAC Volleyball Win
Alyssa Given hit two of her 22 kills in the decisive fifth game as Seattle Pacific University (1-0 GNAC, 6-3) defeated cross-town rival Seattle University Thursday night at Brougham Pavilion for its 28th straight in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

Following a couple weeks in California, the Seattle Pacific University volleyball team now comes home to roost. The Falcons (5-3) host crosstown rival Seattle University (3-5) to commence Great Northwest Athletic Conference play Thursday night.

Sept 1 -- No. 20 Seattle Pacific Finishes 2-2 at Otter Invitational Volleyball Tourney
Angie Wodrich had 23 kills and Alyssa Given had 20, as Seattle Pacific (5-3) beat Notre Dame de Namur in five games Saturday night to close out the Otter Invitational at Cal State Monterey Bay University. In the earlier match of the day, the University of Tampa beat Seattle Pacific University in three games.

Aug 31 -- SPU Splits Opening Matches of Monterey Bay Volleyball Tourney
Behind the career-high eight service aces and 10 kills of Alyssa Given, Seattle Pacific University swept host Cal State Monterey Bay, earning a split of its opening-day volleyball matches at the Otter Invitational. The Falcons (4-2) had their three-match win streak snapped by Michigan's Saginaw Valley State, 3-0.

Aug 30 -- No. 20 Falcons to Take Given Back Home (Weekly Volleyball Release)
It’s a big state, and the Seattle Pacific University volleyball team will move 350 miles closer to home without leaving California this weekend for the Otter Invitational in Seaside. There, the 20th-ranked Falcons (3-1) will play four times Friday and Saturday (Aug. 31-Sept. 1) before coming back home to begin Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

Aug 25 -- Volleyball Streak Reaches 3 With Back-to-Back Wins
Alyssa Given totaled 35 kills as 20th-ranked Seattle Pacific University (3-1) extended its volleyball win streak to three matches with wins over Fort Lewis (Co.) and Cal State Dominguez Hills in the final day of the Coyote Classic. Angie Wodrich had the kill at match point versus Fort Lewis.

Based upon the preseason NCAA Division II rankings, no volleyball team has a more daunting early-season schedule than Seattle Pacific University. Seattle Pacific earned a ranking for the second year in a row, occupying the No. 20 slot.

Aug 9 -- Falcons Figure to be Among GNAC Volleyball Contenders
Once again Seattle Pacific University figures to be among the contenders for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball crown. Although the Falcons lost three starters from their GNAC championship team, they have been picked second in a preseason poll of coaches.
