Jun 16 -- NCAA Regatta Visit the 1st of Many? (Final Crew Release)
Now that they’ve gotten a taste of what it’s like to row at an NCAA Championship, the Seattle Pacific University women’s crew has developed a healthy appetite for such fare. The Falcons, who won the varsity eight petite final in their inaugural NCAA regatta, bring all eight rowers back in 2008.

May 27 -- Seattle Pacific Wins Petite Final to Wrap NCAA Rowing
Seattle Pacific University rallied to win the women's varsity eight petite final Sunday as the NCAA Division II Women's Rowing Championships concluded on Melton Hill Lake. The Falcons trailed Florida Tech early, then pulled even at the midway point and finished with open water on their opposition.

May 26 -- Falcons Just Miss Berth in Rowing Grand Final
A second-half comeback came up just short for Seattle Pacific University's varsity eight as they finished third in Saturday's repechage at the NCAA Division II Women's Rowing Championships on Melton Hill Lake. SPU and Florida Tech, which was fourth, will now be matched in Sunday's petite final.

Seattle Pacific University's crew must take the long way if they plan to reach the varsity eight grand final of the NCAA Division II Women"s Rowing Championships on Melton Hill Lake. The outcome of the Falcons' qualifying heat Friday was a distant third to defending champion Western Washington.

May 24 -- Falcon Crew to Meet Regional Champs in Rowing Opener
Seattle Pacific University will be pitted again two regional champions in its initial qualifying heat Friday at the NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships. The Falcons’ varsity eight drew two-time defending champion Western Washington and South region champion Nova Southeastern for the 2000-meter race.

May 24 -- Gymnast Sullivan, Coxswain Giske Voted Academic All-District
Seattle Pacific University gymnast Sarah Sullivan and rowing coxswain Megan Giske have been voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII team. An art major, Sullivan has a cumulative grade point average of 3.63, while Giske is a sociology major with a 3.87 GPA.

The Seattle Pacific University women's varsity eight will be making its first trip to the NCAA Division II Rowing Championships, having earned an at-large berth. The sixth annual championship regatta will take place May 25-27 on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

With a strong second half, Seattle Pacific University earned the bronze in the women's varsity eight Sunday at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on Lake Natoma. The men's varsity four, plagued by injuries, finished sixth.

Perhaps a change in scenery will translate to a better bounty this weekend for the Seattle Pacific University crews this weekend. The Falcons will send their women’s varsity eight and men’s varsity four to the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships near Sacramento Saturday.

Apr 21 -- Falcon Women's Run of NCRC Titles Ends
Seattle Pacific University's 10-year run of winning at least one women's varsity event at the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Championships was snapped Saturday as the Falcons' best finish was a bronze in the varsity four. The SPU men were victorious in the second varsity four category.

Apr 18 -- Crews Troll for Gold Saturday at NCRC (Weekly Crew Release)
Six weeks into the rowing season and the Seattle Pacific University crews are trolling for treasure from here forward. The Falcons begin the championship portion of the campaign Saturday with the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Championships on nearby Lake Stevens.

Seattle Pacific University pulled out victories in three categories, including both the women's varsity eight and four races, Saturday at the Covered Bridge Regatta on Dexter Lake. The men's lightweight four took the title in the junior varsity four category.
