Seattle Pacific University is ranked 12th among NCAA Division II
programs in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Honor
Roll.. The award recognizes teams throughout the nation that have
the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the 2006-2007 season.

Caitlyn Rohrbach, a former all-Wesco forward at Lynnwood's

Good (Final Women's Basketball Release)
After reclaiming the Great Northwest Athletic Conference
championship during a rebuilding year, the sky could be the limit
for Seattle Pacific University womens basketball in 2008.
Next season the Falcons (20-9) bring back six of their top nine
players, including their top two scorers, and they have added some
excellent recruits.

Seattle Pacific Universitys Kelsey Hill was selected as the
womens basketball player of the week in the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference after leading the Falcons into the second
round of the NCAA tournament.

Mar 10 -- Late Chico Run Crashes SPUs
11th Straight Postseason Party; Falcons Fall in Semis
Chico State to a 75-60 victory over Seattle Pacific (20-9) in an
NCAA II West Region semifinal Saturday evening at UC San Diegos
RIMAC Arena. On a postive note, en route to their 11th straight
playoff appearance, the Falcons picked up their fourth GNAC title
in five years and their eighth straight season with 20 or more
wins.

Second Round
Kelsey Hill hit a timely basket in the final two minutes and
finished with 19 points, pacing Seattle Pacific University (20-8)
to a 69-60 win over Sonoma State in the opening game of the NCAA

Hill has been voted to the Daktronics all-West Region womens
basketball second team. Hill is a first-time regional honoree and

Basketball All-Conference Teams
Kelsey Hill, playoff-bound Seattle Pacific University's leader in
scoring and rebounds, has been voted first team all-Great
Northwest Athletic Conference for women's basketball. Hill made
the all-conference team for the first time and was a unanimous
pick of the coaches. Jackie Hollands was selected to the second
team. Rachel Strand and Beth Christensen received honorable
mention.

Friday (Women's Basketball Regional Release)
With its grip on the Great Northwest Athletic Conference womens
basketball championship once again, Seattle Pacific University is
now hunting for bigger game. The Falcons (19-8) get their first
taste of March Madness Friday against Sonoma State (14-12) in a
first-round game. Top-seeded and No. 12-ranked UC San Diego (23-4)
will host the West Regional in La Jolla.

Regional Noon Opener Friday
With the opportunity to become the first winner at the West
Regional, Seattle Pacific University will meet an old nemesis in
its NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament opener Friday.

State (14-12) at 12 noon in La Jolla, Calif.

Falcons to 11th-Straight NCAA Women's Basketball Playoff
Appearance, 4th League Title in 5 Years
Jackie Hollands scored a career-high 24 points and keyed a
game-changing 14-0 run midway through the second half that led
Seattle Pacific (12-4 GNAC, 19-8) to the outright Great Northwest
Athletic Conference championship with a 59-55 victory over
cross-city rival Seattle University Saturday night at SUs

It was a bittersweet night for the Falcons (11-4 GNAC, 18-8), who
captured at least a share of the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference title, despite falling 65-63 to host Northwest Nazarene
on a pair of free throws by Danielle Dwello with one second
remaining.

Feb 28 -- Once Again, SPU Leads GNAC in
Academic Hoop Selections
Seattle Pacific University placed a total of 10 men's and women's
basketball players on the Academic All-Great Northwest Athletic
Conference teams. Rachel Strand (Exercise Science, 3.39 GPA) made
it for a third year in a row. For the men, Dustin Bremerman
(Business Administration, 3.34 GPA) was selected, also for the
third consecutive year.
