Welcome to The Falcon Online's Tourney
Central specifically directed toward the 2000 NCAA Division II
Men's Basketball West Regional Tournament. This year's competition
is being held at Brougham Pavilion in Seattle on the campus of
Seattle Pacific University, the Pacific West Conference champion.
The top six teams in the west earn berths in
the West Regional, one of eight regional tournaments in men's
basketball. Each of these regionals have six teams that make up
the 48-team NCAA field.
The West's top two regional seeds, SPU
(#1) and Central Washington (#2) receive first-round byes.
Cal State San Bernardino (#3), UC Davis (#4), BYU-Hawaii
(#5), and Cal State L.A. (#6) play first round games
Thursday with the two winners advancing to the semifinals along
with SPU and Central Washington.
