SEATTLE (Sept. 10) ­ Shannon Oakes of Seattle Pacific University has been selected the Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer player of the week after setting-up the winning goals in two games.

Oakes (Jr., Boise, Id.) earned an assist on the game's lone goal at Chico State, hitting a shot off the crossbar which was later converted by Jana Godoy on the rebound. Against Notre Dame de Namur Oakes found Sarah Martinez for a goal in the opening minutes of a 3-0 victory over the Argos.

The undefeated Falcons (6-0-0) host Central Washington in their GNAC opener Wednesday night.
