SEATTLE (Sept. 8) – Alicia Cazemier had four of the last five kills for Montana State Billings in the fourth game, as the Yellow jackets took down the Falcons at Brougham Pavilion Saturday night, 30-26, 30-22, 26-30, 30-21.

Cazemier led the way for MSU (1-1, 7-3) with 19 kills as the Yellow jackets snapped the Falcons’ (1-1, 6-4) winning streaks of 21 Greater Northwest Athletic Conference contests at Brougham Pavilion, 28 consecutive GNAC wins and 19 overall at home.

Stefania Aladjova had a match leading 52 assists, as well as three aces in the contest.

Rachel Biornstad (Sr., Kent/Wa.) led the charge for the Falcons, smashing 14 kills and seven blocks for the match.

Alyssa Given (Sr., Salinas, Ca.) and teammate Angie Wodrich (Sr., Richland, Wa.) both had four aces each in the match with Wodrich getting back-to-back aces in the beginning of the third game.

Having smashed down 13 kills in the match, Given moved into the No.2 spot for all-time career kills at 1154.

As a team, SPU hit at a low .059 clip, while MSU Billings managed .197.

The two teams have faced each other 19 times including tonight’s match, with the Falcons having won 16 out of the previous 18.

The Falcons host Northwest Nazarene University Saturday at 7 to close out their three game home stand.
