SEATTLE (Sept. 3) Although two of its
three losses were to the nation's top two teams, Seattle Pacific
University fell out of the NCAA Division II volleyball rankings
this week.
The Falcons (5-3), who begin Great Northwest
Athletic Conference play Thursday night, had been No. 20 in the
CSTV/AVCA preseason coaches poll.
Cal State San Bernardino and Tampa, ranked 1-2,
each swept SPU in the opening two weeks. The other loss was to
Sagniaw Valley State.
