TURLOCK, Calif. (Aug. 25) Kellen Rosten
made seven saves as Seattle Pacific University settled for a
scoreless men's soccer draw with Cal State Stanislaus in stifling
heat Saturday.
It was the Falcons' first defensive shutout in
nine games, dating back to last season, and the 17th of Rosten's
(Sr., Colorado Springs, Co.) career.
The Warriors (1-0-1) out-shot the Falcons
(1-0-1) 18-6, including 10-2 after halftime as the 90-degree heat
took effect. Mando Herrera stopped four SPU attempts, three in the
first period.
Seattle Pacific played the final seven minutes
of regulation and the entire overtime with a man advantage
following the ejection of Dennis Wolfe.
SPU faces San Francisco State in its home
opener next Saturday at 7.
