Meadowdale Grad Coming Back Home, Joins SPU Women's Basketball Team
July 16, 2007

SEATTLE (July 16) Caitlyn Rohrbach, a former all-Wesco forward at Lynnwood's Meadowdale High School, has transferred to Seattle Pacific University.

The 6-foot Rohrbach, an Edmonds resident, played her freshman season at Alaska Fairbanks, averaging 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds while starting 22 of 27 games.

Because Alaska is a fellow Great Northwest Athletic Conference member, Rohrbach must sit out one season before playing at Seattle Pacific. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Rohrbach becomes the Falcons' second transfer during the offseason. Earlier, Kelsey Burns transferred from Arizona.

Seattle Pacific was 20-9, champion of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament last season. The Falcons lose three seniors, including two starters, to graduation.
